Results and comments from my trailer

s you can see with these results I have had a mixed reaction. Majority of the votes are in the basic region, this me I have to improve my trailer for if I want it to be in the proficient section on the diagram. The main points that I will have to improve on dramatically are
• Holding a shot steady
• Framing a shot
• Varied shots transitions, caption and other FX
These points are marked low in the basic area of the diagram. I would have to improve them to get them to proficient or excellent.
Points that I have the best results with
• Appropriate material
• Editing for meaning
• Overall mark
These are good points and a mark to get on my film, the overall mark is crucial for my film. I would need to improve the mark by at least 5 marks to get into the excellent section.
I have a good amount of marks on my proficient section which is a good thing but would have to improve to get into the excellent section. The 3 parts of the criteria that I god excellent in were
• Appropriate material
• Selecting mise en scene
• Editing for meaning

New style and updated trailer

The trailer that i have constructed was a sense of reality style. I filmed most of the trailer as a P.O.V shot or stedi cam, making it seem real life and as almost this footage was found. I got this style and idea off the upcoming film Project x where a a boy films his best mates party for him and it gets a bit out of control.

I did not film all the trailer in P.O.V but also in ordinary shots as well.
My plan for future filming is to make less P.O.V shots and make the trailer seem less like an documentary and more of a film. I also plan to include non-diegetic music in.

Updated Narrative

Beginning

Its beggins with the hangover of the night before, the day procedes as normal. Matthew beer is a student a brimingham uni and his friends are trying to help him get off the alcohol for him to concentrate on his work. The story starts with him over doing on his social life and not doing well at him university. You see countless times his activities on a night out and having house party, he begins to realize he is going to be chucked out of uni or serious drink problems.
Matt his reluctant to admit that he has drink problems or crazy on a night out so he asks a friend to record a couple of nights out with him.

Middle


Matt seems to know the error of his ways and tries to go cold turkey on his problems. Due to bad influences of drink, party's and friends he cant seem to shake his addiction to partying and gets dragged back into the same situation over and over again. Getting more and more worse. With only one term left the Uni decide to give him a last warning to change other wise he will be chucked from the uni. He friends try to sway him from the path which would surely end in bad things.

End

During the end of the term matt gets worse still, partying and not attending classes, his friends realise how serious this will be and try to stop him. But due to up coming partys and social outings matt is out more regulary. The university finally chuck him out of the university and suddenly matt has much more free time on his hands. At an end of a serious house party full of alcohol and women matt has an epithany and cuts down his outings.

The retreaved footage of matthew on a night out is found and shown to matthew.

What ive done in the last few weeks

During the last few weeks i have been filming and editing my trailer, at took a week and half to film the trailer and another week and half to edit it. I have filmed my trailer in the set locations i have mentioned, which the actor i have mentioned.

I have used the software ADOBE PREMIERE to edit my clips and turn them into my 1 and a half minute trailer.
